  1. Is it optional or do users have to switch to Gemini? The “acknowledgement” seems to basically say I give permission now and forever for Gemini to do whatever it wants with my devices (and data).

  2. Man the Google Assistant declined over the years. My Hub Max almost always replies with “I don’t know, but here are some results I found on search”. Nearly every request for music gets it wrong. So bad. I’m excited to try this Gemini update

  3. YOU HAPPY THAT NOW INSTEAD OF PROCESSING SOME REQUESTS LOCAL, GOOGLE WILL ALWAYS SEND YOUR DATA TO SERVER TO BE PROCCESSED, WHAT TO BE HAPPY ABOUT?

  4. Once there were times when google assistant sucked so bad that even homeassistant could do better on voice assistance with the help of openai text models. Now that v2v models has been released on google home, choosing either that or home assistant is now a pain in the ass for me
